Ok, its about that time of the week again, lol. I would like to challenge a minor rule quick here. The stopping in A-1 when exiting the atmosphere seems a bit unnecessary. I can understand the logic for entering the atmosphere, as you wouldnt want to charge head long into a planet with your fleet, you'd either bounce off or burn up, and thats at an atmosphere like earth, some of these planets have twice that. But when leaving a planet, other then the fact it give the enemy time to pounce on you, which if we look at Empire Strikes Back, was not the case. Those ships come out of the atmosphere at full ahead flank and went nearly straight to hyperspace. I know, im watching it right now, they didnt have to stop to calculate a baring or computate the navicomputer, they came out of the atmosphere like missiles and went immediately into HS.

So I would ask that the rule for stopping in the A-Ring when EXITING the atmosphere be removed and inquire others thoughts to this. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your opinion on the rules, the Management will review it for Episode III implementation, if at all. Have a nice day.

Yes, I know. I discovered a nearly zombified IT-Guy upstairs in his office playing it yesterday afternoon. He didn't come down until well after ten. I've got the forum. He's got his video games. It's a symbiotic relationship of nerds. We respect that.

LMAO!?! Seriously Dem? Are you tired of playing or trying to re-outfit your fleet or something? I thought I made it apparent this was the 2nd most defended planet I own. Its my main re-supply base for god sake lol.

-shakes head- Well if your looking to loose your fleet, by all means. But the same applies to your fleet that did to Hale's. You will loose, and you wont kill anything of consequence. However, might I suggest scrapping your ships instead of just throwing them needlessly at me. They are worth far more that way, and I dont have enough here for you to kill to equal out that VSD.

And I assure you, im not trying to disable it this time. Im going to add it to the debris belt circling this planet.

Im more like Admiral Yamamoto.

His Death is interesting.  Was on inspection flight of forward positions in Solomons, escorted by 6 Zeroes.  Ambushed by 16 P-38s.  I suppose being the architect of Pearl Harbor warrants such dirty tactics though.

True, but still the architect none the less. =)

Also Dem, those ships that just exited HS at Rendili, they can not restock anything. You still have their units in combat at Thyferra and as per ruling, units that have sub-units currently engaged are also considered likewise engaged, as such can not yet restock until Thyferra is concluded. So they can be there, but they can not restock, even if you have units ready to go. Refer to ruling made about my MC-80 from Eriadu when I tried it.

In terms of Admirals, you might be Yamamoto... but in terms of Generals, you are every bit of the warmongering prima donna Patton was.

The referred ruling is: The Burden of Command.

Yeah, I dont know too much about Patton other then name. I always focused more on the pacific where we had an actual challenge. Germany may have walked all over 2 dozen countries that had no standing military, but Japan actually knew how to fight.  And had Yamamoto not turned his fleet around after Midway, we'd all be speaking Japaneese right now. It was kind of funny, even without their carriers they still had the largest fleet the world had seen to date, and we had just lost the majority of our carrier fleet killing theirs. That fleet would have wiped the entire west coast off the map and we'd never have been able to stop it.
