I tend to agree, perhaps we could go to a .5/.75/1x travel times? Or perhaps we just limit the x2 travel time to GR-75s only due to potential smuggling gains.

-Shrugs- I had more I was gunna say but I lost my train of thought from this news story talking about how tax money is being spent on "wet houses" where alcohalics can get a monthly check to buy alcohal and gives them a place to drink. Are you fucking serious?! And we wonder why our country is going so broke...

Eh, hyperspace times were hashed out a long time ago. The tricky thing is, you don't want them to be too short to the point where it's abused, nor do you want it to be so long that players loose interest.  The other consideration is: entering hyperspace is now a tactical decision. If you commit everything, you'll leave your base undefended.. for quite some time.

x0.75 / x1 / x1.5 / x2 keeps things "canon" as well (in terms of hyperdrive ratings), as only the Falcon was able to "make it 'point five' past lightspeed".

Hehe, yes well, StarWars was never very realistic in travel times. They could cross a galaxy in a matter of days, which would takes speeds in excess of 1,000,000s of times the speed of light. Also seeing as they measure time in units of distance.... "Its the ship that made the kessel run in under 12 parsecs."

I mean I dont care, I can work with the rules we got now. Was just agreeing with X, and commenting on time in SW.

I suppose I don't really mind.  I mean, the slower pace is a good thing when it comes to all the other crap we've got going on.  I just want to blow something up.  ;D

Public Service Annoucement regarding Combat Space Patrols:
Unlike previous sims where CSP was limited to units covering units, GCW has units covering areas. As per the rules:
Quote
Starfighters can enter into a protective formation scheme to guard friendly units, called Combat Space Patrol.  Starfighters on CSP must designate and protect an entire grid space, and cannot perform any aggressive actions that round.
Thank you.

Err... sorry about that, fixed accordingly. =)

Just trying to look out bro. Of course there's nothing against designating CSP for individual ships... but you wouldn't want that now would you? ;)

Actually yes I would, but the rules stated MUST designate a grid, so I didnt think it was optional. The advantage to listing them per ship would be you cant use a single tie swarm to wipe out ALL of my collective CSP. One ship sure, but not all of them. Could be the difference between losing 1-2 ships per post and lost 4-6 per post. Would force you to either concentraite on a single target or breakup your tie swarm to clear all my CSP, making it way easier for me to kill them back.

Thats the theory anyway lol. It would look more impressive if I had ships that actually carried fighters haha.

-waits for hale to tell him how he cant do that now-

Ok, I think im doing something wrong again, cause I look at your stuff too hale and again, your gaining WAY more then I am, and I have more stuff, how?!

Are we supposed to be adding KCs = to our total accumulated VPs every Action Day or ONLY the NEW VPs the buildings generate. Cause one way im shorting myself a LOT of KCs, and the other you and X are both screwing up. Id like to think majority rules, so I gotta be the one screwing up but whats going on?!

For example: This is how ive been generating KCs
4/1 +50
4/15 +80
5/1 +80
5/15 +175

Am I supposed to be doing it like this?:
4/1 +50
4/15 +80 +50 = 130
5/1 +80 + 130 = 210
5/15 +175 + 210 = 385

You can see my dilema, if its supposed to be the latter of the 2 like you and X are doing, Im missing out on 390KCs. If its supposed to be my way, you guys are over like a combined 1000KC that you should not have.

OKAY. Here's how it works. I'll do an example player so we can look at it freshly.

Imperial player starts game like everyone else:
1 APR: Imp Sector Palace (+50 VP) = 50 VP total
15 APR: ISP (+50 VP), Imp Shipyard (+10), & Imp Academy (+10) = +70 VP = 120 VP total
1 MAY: ISP (+50 VP), ISH (+10), IAC (+10), Imperial Leader (+10) = +80 VP = 200 VP total

Get it? You compound the Victory Points every Action Day as if each facility was handing you them as if they were paying you rent.

Black Markets DO NOT generate Victory Points, only extra CASH.

So for the 5/15 I should look like 125 generation + 210 already scored + 50 black market = 385KCs for 5/15?

Then the 6/1 would, saying nothing changes, be:
125 generated + 335 already scored + 50 black market = 510KC for 6/1?

... Hmm. Could you give me a history of your VP gains beginning from the first action day? (4/1) Just so it all makes sense?
