The Hapan fleet will be able to deal 560 ion damage I think at full strength, enough for a 1120m ship, sooo, don't drop your shields around me. Or please do.

Just so you know, BTW, that those ION rules are not reflected in the rule document it needs to be updated.

The Master Rules I'm still working through. Temp changes and such are the the Ep2 Update until I do since some of those were works-in-progress.

I can't believe this. I'm currently simming again, playing TOR, and just started reading the X-Wing series (man did I choose a great series to skip and save for over a decade later). I've also been listening to the Star Wars soundtracks all day at work.

I'm officially 12 again.

lol ... I'm rereading Wraith Squadron now. You should be reading Courtship of Princess Leia though ;)  Its funny, the past few weeks i had been wanting to sim again... then i finally visited and saw all of this in motion. I just hope that we can get through the first month with momentum and carry on. This set of rules looks really nice, once we get comfortable and all the stuff is setup for each sim, I think it will be very manageable. And there is lots of room for storylining which I know a lot of us enjoy more than we did back in the day.

Never been one to really battle, but I may just hop in tonight and go balls to the wall and just force the issue. And get destroyed.

And yeah with all this Hapan shite I was thinking I might as well reread Courtship, except I distinctly remember disliking that one. I think I only disliked The New Rebellion and (shudders) The Crystal Star more. Zahn's the best, Stackpole's immediately winning me, and Anderson is at least upper-readable. ...Even though he single-handedly destroyed Dune (yes, single-handedly, because I think Brian Herbert was just credited to put the Herbert name on the cover).

Zahn is my favorite as well. Stackpole and Allston are readable (in another genre I doubt I'd read to the end though). I never read any of the NJO stuff.. always rejected it for some reason. I keep going back to the X-Wing series and Zahn. I should finish Black Fleet Crisis one of these days, too.
