Umm... good question, hale, what are we doing for ground maps?

Edit: I also have kind of a stupid question, but can we put up CSP for our Aux and Bombers? Like could I have an Aux group in say A-1 with 3 squads of Z-95s running CSP for them? I guess basically is CSP limited to just protecting capital ships, or can we use it to protect any general group of units?

Another question here about production: does 1 shipyard allow you to build 1 squad or 1 starship at at a time? or as many as you want/can?

Ok list of questions for you :)

1) Construction - Quantity producible by each Factory/Shipyard, etc.
2) Diplomacy/Expansion - To build units on another world that is neutral, is it required to use force/diplomacy? For example, if I wanted to go to Planet Y and build an NR Embassy there - could I? How does one acquire allegiance/parternship with another world? Are there shades of agreement? For example, if I went to storyline and agreed with planet to put an Embassy - would I get everything there then or just have permission to put hte embassy and continue SLing until I get more from them, etc... This part of the game is murky to me. I assume it works like old school simming - you go and SL a storyline and they agree to join or agree to some middle-ground with you?

Construction is unlimited but completed by a first posted first finished cycle. IE: You can put 200 MC-90s into production, but they will only complete 1 at a time per each ship yard you have. Facilities build at will. Not sure what the limits on each planet is for total number though...

For your second question, if the planet has a population, yes. If the listed population is "none" then you can do what you will as you will with the planet. Keep in mind, just because the listed PDF and population is none, that doesnt mean Hale hasnt thrown some pirates or something on it. All planets must be scanned before actions can be made against them.

As for diplomacy, its just basically you SLing against Hale (or someone he appoints to do it). As far as the outcome of the SL, its pretty much a judgment call by the GM, basic pen & paper RPing format.

Last @: where do stock units from your ships go when you replace them with new builds?

Either PDF or simply disappear if you have no room.

Ground Grid which consists of G-1, G-2, G-3, and G-4 is the MAP. Ground Units cannot walk/march from one sector to the next (unless you have a Colonel or Hero ability to allow this). Players are encouraged to use a common sense approach when selecting which sector has what terrain modifiers. For example... Coruscant would be ALL Urban... Endor ALL Forest. Places like Corellia might be mixed, etc. Look under the rules in the Ground Section for all this.

Combat Space Patrol is limited to protecting specific areas of space rather than specific units. AUX on CSP block attacking AUX, SFs on CSP block attacking SFs. If you have SFs on CSP, then any SFs that want to attack targets in that Sector must go through your CSP first. So no, you can't have your SFs do "Escort CSP" for your AUX.

Manufacturing Facilities are unlimited. If you can buy it, they can build it. This way, thousands of troops can be trained at a time, as well as entire PDF replacements.

Outposts have been removed and replaced with Strongholds, which are heavily fortified Player-controlled planets. If you want to expand your faction, you'll have to take over another planet to do so. As Ramano said, some planets are "blank slates" (like Hoth or Rhen Var) or have "minor NPC presences" (like the two Asteroid systems), and so players could certainly go to these worlds and set up shops if they so choose.

Missions are not completed yet for all the heroes, but here's a brief overview below. Nearly all missions will take 28 days and will have 4 milestones that have to be completed before the Mission is accomplished.
1. Diplomacy: Will allow Leaders and Jedi to take over a planet without the use of their military.
2. Conquest: Will allow Officers and Sith to take over a planet with their military AND rapidly set up shop afterwards. (Leaders can still take over planets, but they won't get the benefits of Conquest).
3. Jedi/Sith Training: Will allow Jedi to advance in rank faster than every other Hero.
4. Freelancers: Will have a set of mini-missions (like Smuggling Runs) to do so they can make lots of money.

Quests/Special Projects/Epic Missions will be the same as regular Missions, but with more criteria. Here's what's on the drawing boards:
1. Build the Death Star III.
2. Find the lost Katana Fleet. Which for purposes of this game will be (20) Katana Dreadnaughts with CP 1 (because of slave-rigging).
3. Establish the Jedi Order: This will open up a large tech tree for the Jedi, to include lots of Old Republic technology such as Jedi Pilots (which can be added to any Starfighter Squad to give it Maneuver +2), Republic Clonetroopers, Jedi Knights (which will be treated as GAVs due to their power), and Jedi Star Destroyers (which will be modified VNSDs).
4. Establish the Sith Empire: Same as the Jedi bonuses basically with Sith Pilots, Sith Troopers, Sith Warriors, and Sith Star Destroyers.
5. Expand the Empire: Complete (3) Conquest missions and get some huge bonus.
6. Declaration of the New Republic: Complete (3) Diplomacy missions and get some huge bonus.

As for construction line of construction - with Academys - it can only build 1 squad of troops every 14 days? that's 10 troopers... seems a little slow for 500 KCs ;)

Also can we move ships from PDF to fleets and vice versa or is it like old rule : PDF = PDF forever?

I'm not sure I understand your question. The Republic Academy costs 500 KCs and can be built in 7 Days. It can train all infantry, which themselves have separate costs and training times.

Here is how Fleets work now --

Primary Battle Fleet: Player-controlled, 23 Command Points, 7-capital ship limit.

PDF Fleet: Player/GM-controlled, 23 Command Points, 10-ship limit. Ships can be taken from PDF directly into Battle Fleet.

Reserve Fleet: Exists outside Deep Space of your Stronghold, up to 23 CP, no limits. Takes 3 Days to reactivate.

Fleet Escort Groups: Up to (3) SF Squadrons w/ hyperdrives at 1 CP each & (12) Auxiliary Craft at 1 CP each. Fleet Escorts can only accompany your Battle Fleet, and you need 1 Capital Ship in your Fleet for every 1 SF Squadron or 4 AUX.

Bonus Units: Can exist through Strongholds, Hero Abilities, or other instances.

Just to clarify:

Construction is unlimited AND simultaneous. If you can buy it, your manufacturing facility builds it. This way you can buy hundreds of infantry squads or GAVs and build them all at once.

Facilities build at-will on Strongholds, but when expanding, you'll need a presence of some kind (like some troops on the ground or anything really).

Diplomacy is a Mission.

Err... so wait, I can build anything I can afford. Like if I could afford it I could build 200 MC-90s in 23 days?

So with one shipyard you are good to go to build 10 CGUNs at once?
