Dark Empire graphic novel (compilation of the comic books)
« on: April 09, 2024, 11:58:19 AM »
Just picked up my first Star Wars graphic novel (how is that possible).

What are other series you all enjoy?

Hell yeah, better late than never! This is my all time fav.  I have 3 copies.  The regular softcover TPB that is my original from a kid.  It is the most worn binding of any book I own. =)

Also the Omnibus style Hardcover collection of the 3 DE series.

And the Hardcover Slipcase signed and number by Tom Veitch and Cam Kennedy.

I went through several purges of a lot of my collections and they are some of the very little I kept and will always keep.

I also love the Tales of the Jedi DH series.

Marvels Darth Vader titles are great.  They always put their best writers on them. There have been at least 3 renumberings of the DV series since they acquired the SW license, usually when a major new writer is brought on.  The first two are Gillen and Soule and their runs are really good I thought.  They are collected in TPBs and HCs.  As the name suggests the series focuses on Darth Vaders exploits outside of what we already know.

The Thrawn Trilogy is a good DH graphic novel series as well as the Crimson Empire series trilogy (follows Kir Kanos,  surviving member of Palpatines Royal Guard).
