Saw it. Not impressed. Clone Wars is cool, yes but not dark enough. This is simply Alliance Lite. The struggle from Separatist to Rebel to Alliance to New Republic is filled with the blood of many. This is just Star Wars kiddo adventures but I doubt it will scratch the surface because they don't want to alienate their core demographic. They know we will watch it because we're SW loyalists. Even though I hated Episode I, I still saw it several times in the theater because it was Star Wars and I'm crazy like that. They count on our devotion then tailor newer projects toward the younger generation hoping to create clones of us for the next generation of fans. In terms of marketing, it's brilliant. Sustain a brand across so many generations that it becomes a common factor for families and friends. I dunno. On the fence on this one.

That they do. Still hoping for some gratuitous violence and the darker, grittier elements of breaking away from the tyrannical ruling party. The Empire is vicious and I want to see some of that. Also, sex. Would it kill someone to bang out a few along the way? Yes, we got the Anakin/Padme Han/Leia love stories but something far more salacious is in order.

There are deleted sex scenes from Ep III w Anakin and Padme, check pornhub *snicker-cackle like Salacious Crumb*. (ask for Salacious and I shall deliver!)

Maybe they'll take some queues from shows like Avatar (The Last Airbender, not the blue people)-- that has some pretty dark  moments without gratuitous violence and still appealing to a large demographic.

Unless they release it online as well I will sadly miss the first runs as well since I don't think I get that channel. Base cable only comes with Disney not the ten million other Disney channels. :/

Me neither.  I'm debating canceling cable all together and just keeping internet.  Comcast's virtual monopoly of my region makes for a ridiculous non-dynamic.  I have to do my part to ruin them by only paying them for their fantastically fast webs.

There have been some violent moments in Clone Wars, stuff like Ventress force lifting a clonetrooper up and then impaling him through the heart. But yeah for the most part, there needs to be an adult SW show. I'm still waiting for a Clonetrooper to get halved and quartered, or at least beheaded. But they wont.

We will have to settle for our own written creations, for they will always be entertaining and for the adult audience!

I agree on that, Eid. I haven't paid for cable tv in years. AT&T continues to raise my internet bill little by little. The Cable Industry, the one business that punishes you for your loyalty.

Finally finished the Clone Wars TV series. Admittedly, I was skeptical starting out. The first couple seasons were very Saturday-morning-cartoonish, but Season 4 picked up, and Season 5 was definitely mature - and the most relevant in terms of content prior to Episode III.

About the same opinion here, after it settled in my system I appreciated it for what it was.

Congrats! Also, good luck! Girls are crazy. In the spirit of sharing, I got legit married two weeks ago. Epic sassy princess bullshit and all. The fam's were pissed we eloped so we did the whole production thing. IT-Guy and I don't care for such things but pulled it off marvelously even though we've been married for, like, a year. My sister may have cried thus proving she has human emotions.

Weddings, babies, careers - the simmers have become adults.

Sellout?! LOL! I'm faux-outraged! Love is compromise and although bypassing the spectacle was grand, our respective families went ballistic over being shut out. Hence the public joining which turned out great despite my cynical protesting. Also, nothing beats a tipsy Kimmy on the dance floor. Those legs were meant for moving. The fact that Val didn't sleep with a single groomsman is in and of itself an act of God. Mel was the matron of honor and handled that shit like a pro. IT-Guy's family can be a bit much, being mid-western and all.

And Greg, girls are wonderful...until they get to high school. Then we are expensive emotional nightmares you have to keep away from boys. Keep a shotgun handy. It makes a powerful statement to potential suitors.
