The Battle of Sullust
After the ground battle had cleared, Hale reboarded the
Nulli Secundus and piloted himself. The
Nulli was no ordinary shuttle. It had been upgraded with a powerful engine and reinforced armor plates - giving it the means to go toe to toe with the Alliance's most advanced starfighters. However, this didn't stop the Rebels from trying. After Hale's takeoff, he had attracted a pair of X-Wings that wouldn't give up...

"Sullust Command, this is Captain Hale, I need an immediate escort back to the
Vanquish, I've caught myself a tail..."
Hale pulled the flight yokes in order to execute a loop, but one of the X-Wings had followed. The Rebel was good.
"Roger that Captain, sending available TIE Fighters to your track now."
"Thank you Sullust!"

Once the TIEs arrived on scene, Hale was able to shake his tail and reposition the
Nulli for an attack. After getting an X-Wing in his sights, he unleashed a blaster storm upon it, ripping the fighter to shreds. Within a few moments, the remaining X-Wings had broken off.
"
Vanquish standby for my arrival."
"Yes sir," replied the deck officer.
A Rebel broke into the conversation with an open communication, "not so fast Imperial trash!"
"A-Wings incoming!"
"We got'em, Cap'n!" replied a TIE Fighter pilot. "Turn to course 056 mark 090, we'll crossover and splash them!"
"I like the way you think!" replied Hale, who knew what the pilot was going to do. Hale was going to put the
Nulli directly in front of the A-Wings so that the TIEs could swoop in and shoot the A-Wings in the face.

"A-Wings down! You're all clear Cap'n!"
And with that, the remaining Rebel fighters had split off and began heading for space to retreat.
The Battle of Sullust was over.
