Love the new look, very clean and much more professional looking. And thank you for finally replacing my banner image. It had to die.

No comma needed preceeding "and"

Thanks Erasmar. It will take some getting used to, but its a much more robust solution and much more sound security wise, too. I was also able to move to a new sever which costs 75% less a month

I'm thinking every month or two I'll do a new banner image with different star wars art, tweak some of the color scheme at the same time while trying to find a more decent logo that feels 'appropriate' to the SWSF brand

Oh I had something else I wanted to mention, but I forgot until just now.

As I was messing around with the settings I saw the email options and it said something about a newsletter.  Is that something that's ever been done?  Would there be any interest in something like this?  It's actually an idea I've had for awhile.  Maybe a sort of "what's been happening in the galaxy."  Recent events, ongoing storylines/sims/battles, random funny links from the OOC chat.  Something to send out to registered users that we're still here and kickin and if you haven't been by in a while maybe come back and check us out?

Update!

The domain name change has processed, and all things should be working. Again, please post anything you notice gone wrong here - images not loading, dead pages, etc. I will set up the emailing features when I have time, so still for now you won't get email notices when someone sends you a PM or posts in a thread you are following.

The mail server is set up so email notifications should be going back out again.


All that's left is some tweaking and optimizing so the site runs as fast as possible. Family is visiting though so I won't get to that for a week or so!

I couldn't live with the old forum anymore, and the software had tons of security issues. Also it now costs just $5 a month to host
