I don't have any big plans with the Inquisitor unless we want to do something interesting and unexpected! ;)

Sounds inhospitable to me but then again I've got a small window of comfort.  Mostly ambient temperatures of 15-68 degrees F and woodfire pizza accessibility.  :D

What you doing in Africa Ranes?

We're in Angola, so it could certainly be worse, but it's honestly probably the worst place I've been.  I do communications for Embassies, so that's why I'm here.  Temps here run about 55 for the cold of winter to 85ish for the heat of summer.  No wood fired pizza and the cost would probably be about $40 for one.  Most expensive ex-pat city in the world.  Oh, and Internet is only 4Mbps and costs about $200/month...

I haven't accomplished anything in the game, but I'm doing some character development/background and general organizational stuff on my own.  I backed a program called Realm Works on Kickstarter long ago and decided to use it get myself organized.  It's serious overkill, but super powerful and flexible to organize with.  At this point, not sure if I'll join in on this, do my own just Storyline, or what.  I'll be around and watching some at least.

Everybody finish up with Christmas, see TFA, and come back to this game. I have lots of ideas. :B

Hop and Eidolon are busy working on some potentially sweet gaming apps to streamline gaming for SWA. In the meantime, there is a lot of unused stuff that was made for ROTE that could potentially spice things up in the meantime. Would anyone be interested in doing a Soft Reboot of this game in order to introduce some more "gaming" features into the mix? Such as:

1. Custom space grids for every system locale.
2. Ship templates to build a custom design.
3. Combat rules for dogfights between ships.

If so, Tales From Hutt Space could morph into this Bounty Hunter vs Smuggler kinda game, intermixed with the ongoing "SL sandbox" that is currently present.

like your hex grid hs map interlocking specials for these systems? deal me in on the me and my trusty steed vs you and your midget horse aspect.  I would start anew however, or perhaps go back to that Trandoshan chic Prikesshk from 1st ROTE.  But either way, to have those grids and have a ship for her loaded out and to be chasing other comparables around.  Sounds fun with a simple reward type system that keeps players going after each other but able to bounce back from dafeet

My first sim on the AOL boards was something called "Blizzard Vanguard, Inc." the basic idea was that jobs were posted by the CEO of this company, in which smugglers could sign up for, and because this was public knowledge, bounty hunters could try to intercept the smuggler in a space battle. It was a fun "summer sim" that eventually Flashpoint ripped-off aspects of (Jobs/Cargo Units/Reward/Bounty), but otherwise it was billed as a "good clean fun" sideshow compared to the fleet vs fleet battle sims.

So yeah, it will definitely include the hex grids, hyperspace ratings will factor heavily into the game, as well as character ratings. Might be worth it to include some ground battle aspects too, so the smuggler could be at risk during any point of the job!

The "jobs" will remain in the current SL sandbox. So, it might be something like "pick up a shipment of blasters from Kwenn to deliver to the Klatoonians" or something.

Sounds like an episode of Rebels, awesome. Skirmishy/tactical character battles in ship or person.

Could do a sweet hero/posse/companion thing maybe.  A crew/band more or less.  Force the custom ship buil model i know youll have to incorporate crew space living quarters etc! =D. In that setting, crew aspects kick ass.

Im thinkin way back tona Sega Dreamcast game, Skies of Arcadia.  You had an airship as pirate sorta and recruited crew and put them in posts for various benefit vs others.  Actually the game is where word Aburik come from and my first memory of an Action Slot combat system =)
