Takes all the experience out of it. On another note an asshole at my wife's work keyed the shit out of her car. He washes cars in the private garage of the office building (illegally and without permission) and she is trying to get him out of there as he is a strange guy who scares the people that park down there. Apparently the guy in charge of the building lets him and probably gets a cut of what he charges people (and that guys boss doesnt know about it, wouldnt allow that). That guy hates her too. Fucking pricks.

Looks like they'd have to do the New Jedi Order time period - the actors are the right age for that time period I believe.

Can't say I wouldn't look forward to it, no matter how corny or awful they might come out. Wonder if Disney would ignore the books or make some of the books in to movies or what?

As much as a love the actors who played our favorite SW characters, they are too old to reprise the roles. They pretty much implied they would ignore the books in favor of new adventures featuring the characters we know and love. Despite the fact that it will be difficult to accept new actors in these roles, it has worked in the past.

Example: Professor X & Magneto in X-Men trilogy vs. Professor X & Magneto in First Class.

If you scout the right kind of actor, it could work out rather nicely. Plus, if they land a solid director they could take it to a whole new level, ala Dark Knight. It was still dark and compelling without being profane. I'm hoping they move in that direction as opposed to the frilly mess that was the prequel trilogy. Even the Clone Wars show is hedging into crazy dark territory. Even though I was initially upset about the purchase by Disney (since they tend to rape my childhood for profit), a fresh set of eyes may be just the thing to revamp and reintroduce the saga to a whole new generation.

Disney wont put out a Dark Knight style SW trilogy unfortunately. it will be geared towards kids even more than the episodes 1-3. Probably time period when Leia has had the twins and all the gay little adventures they go on. Thats why the original characters might work, because they'd be the right age (or maybe a little too old but with makeup etc itd be all right).
