Okay so after some consideration, I'm giving GCW until the end of the month (to get at least 1~2 more active players involved). In the meantime, do ya'll have any suggestions for the Battle of Tatooine FP? I realize hyperspace times are difficult, so perhaps there could be "standby" ships waiting for players to command as opposed to having to deploy your own units.

You'll get cash and VP bonuses as if you were there but without any risk to your own shit. Win/win. Just show up and blow up.

That being said, here's what I'm willing to setup to make things sweet:

Players will be given 2000 KCs (just like you were starting out) to purchase a temporary fleet for the FP (extra cash will not be kept). Any surviving units will be absorbed back into the faction they came from (Coruscant/Rendezvous Point). Players will be limited to 20 CPs like normal, but this time NO RESTRICTIONS to tech or numbers of units (as in, you could field 20 CORVs if you wanted). It will be epic.  Hutt Syndicate units will be adjusted accordingly (1 PBC + 1 MARC / per Rebel player). We can keep the starting point (the 10th) and simply run the FP until everyone blows up or a winner is declared.

What do ya'll think about that?

Well personally I think I would be against that idea. It kinda goes along with the saying "No risk no reward." If everyone is using free ships then whats stopping everyone from just taking this to a suicide level. Thats just gunna be a tactical cluster fuck. Sorry im just not much for the use of freebies outside of PDF.

I still like my original idea of for this flashpoint we only have 24hr travel times. Doesnt matter where you are, after you get the DC its a 24hrs trip to Tatooine. I think that very simply solves all the issues.

-listens to the screeching tires- HOLD UP people... I have a little IRL issue with a tornado yesterday so im kinda out of action atm. He tried hard and gave up a good fight getting my shed, my kitchen, and my boat, but in the end I triumphed by standing outside my delapidated structure laughing as I called the insurance guy who is gunna give me a new house. YAY! (And I can still post, eat that you piece of shit wind!)

On a more serious note, that shit was fucked up! My kids were in the living room as my shed came crashing through the back of my house, and my wife and I were left trying to hold boards on a window during 100mph winds. If you ever get the chance, I strongly suggest watching people do that, I have to imagine it would have been hilerious to watch, lmao! You know what a piece of plywood is in a tornado, a 50lb kite, lol!!

And to answer your next thoughts, yes, it turns out I really am stupid enough to try and fight the winds of a tornado. And considering the power of that wind and the fact I held the board into the window enough to atleast keep out most of the rain and debris, I count that as a win. And no, no one was injured thank god. Kids and wife all made it down stairs, and im too dumb to be hurt, lol.

So yeah, just letting everyone know im gunna be a little inactive until my house is repaired, and my parents internet sucks so I dont wanna use it, lol.

Okay, should we postpone the FP until you're ready? Methinks this is a good idea since it'll be at least a week+ before Greg can be ready as well... and 2v2 is mighty enticing.

Well, thats up to you guys but you know me, if there is an open IP and electricity I can get here. Just meant as far as doing anything important, I got more important things I have to do over the next -shrugs- however long it takes to build a house. If I get a moment where I have nothing to do but sit around I will see about the calculators, I will need something to take my mind off stuff anyway, just im not in a hurry so's you know.

But yeah, if Hop needs extra time then go ahead and postpone otherwise im good if you are. Just hard to do everything at once ya know.
