Caleb had just pulled himself up to the second elevated tier of the upward spanning spire as the two mouse droids returned to the massive catacomb chamber and Galen followed closely behind them. He glanced down and back toward them just as Galen seemed to be overcome with something and dropped to his knees, the droids now circling around him chirping away.
With a bit of a groan over the couple dozen meters he'd ascended to some degree of difficult effort due to his cleaved thumb, Caleb hurriedly slid back down the steep facade of the first large circular tier of the Catacomb Tower, dropping a few meters at a time from one thinly grasped perch to another before hitting the floor, dust rising from his feet.
Rushing over to Galen, the elder Jedi was pushing himself to his feet as he'd arrived,
"You Ok Old Timer?" he asked of his human companion.
"Yes, better in fact. Come, Qui Gon's tomb is this way.." he replied and directed their destination, pointing roughly to the third upper tier of the spiraling Tomb Tower in the opposite way of that which Caleb had been climbing previously.
Together the two worked their way up several dozen meters, passing the first tier and eventually the second and now occupying the flat surface of the third level of the spire where there was considerable less sediment dust collected indicating much newer work and tomb enclosures. They walked slowly around it following the circular wall.
The droids were now slung across Caleb's back with an old root derived twine he'd come across at the base of the Tower. They beeped and honked away the passing moments seemingly carrying on a conversation amongst themselves as the two humans they'd got this far now carried them upward on their journey where their wheels and diminutive forms most certainly could not get them.
Galen was now slowly reading the ancient runes that were carved across the entire construct before focusing on a specific area. Pulling out his light saber he ignited it and quickly carved an arched passage in to the blank solid stone sealed doorway to one of the thousands of tomb enclosures.
Caleb took a moment to glance further up the chamber and the tower. There were at least four more levels of successively narrowing tiers of the tower to ascend, each taller than the previous creating the potential for a further fall to a flat surface the further up one went. His mind shot back to the initial fall from when they were ambushed and barely escaped the First Order Death Squad.
When Galen had finished cutting a man sized archway in the stone, he appeared to use the force to pull the stone back and out of their way, letting it fall to the flat surface of the tier with a loud slam.
Caleb glanced around him,
"It's...empty," he proclaimed.
Galen had dropped back to his knees and within his mind was in some other place now. What seemed like a long period of time as he waited was probably only a minute or two before Galen snapped back to the here and now and stood.
"No, it is full of knowledge."
"Such as??" Caleb furrowed his brown and pressed for details.
Galen elaborated,
Grey's Fill
"Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl were my parents. When they were dealing with the Issues of Xanatos, Jinn and Tahl had a relationship. After the fall of Xanatos and the fallof his father, Jinn went into hiding, taking a mission, which took him out for years. He never knew about me. Tahl had me and could sense I was force sensitive and gave me over to the order. I was trained and Tahl was given a mission to keep her away from the temple while I was raised. She eventually came back to find Qui-had been killed by Darth Maul and his tomb was set here. After his funeral Tahl was given a mission by Master Yoda himself that kept her away for most of the clone wars but was never heard from again. I can't even sense her. She, of course, is long gone by now. I am just......."
As Galen was about to finish is statement, a Hologram had kicked into play and a small. pointy eared Jedi appeared. Being Master Yoda began to speak
"My fellow Jedi......."
Continued Eidolon
The small green being appeared as though projected from within the Tomb of Qui Gon Jinn.
"Forseen I have, perceived victories to avenge our fall.. many they will be.. but along the way, mistakes we will make. Stronger than any could imagine the Emperor is. Many lives he has. Aware you must be, for the spawn of evil, many forms it will take. She will seem as one of us, but Palpatine she is. Take heed of this warning you must. Fall not to temptation, trust this only to the seed of Skywalker.." The image faded as abruptly as it had appeared. Caleb met Galen's gaze, "Wait, wait, wait... Many lives. SHE is Palpatine?? The Seed of Skywalker.. he has to mean General Organa.." "Organa?" Galen inquired. "Once or twice, I may or may not have read some classified material far above my grade, I may or may not have seen something alluding to the fact that she's a Skywalker. As in Luke Skywalker." Galen was now intrigued for the first time by anything Caleb had said since their first encounter, "Luke Skywalker??" he pressed for more. "You get us up to the top and out of this upward graveyard and I'll tell you what else I know from those files I never read, I need to get to General Organa, and fast," he replied.TBC by GreyJedi
