Are there any novels around TIE pilots?
No. They need to give us new EU\Legends books. People would love them as long as they had the right concept, same tone as the rest of the EU\Legends books, and returned to focusing on story. (Wish they would go back to "painting" covers like the covers of the Thrawn trilogy, Jedi Academy trilogy, etc.) Here are a few I would like to see (in addition to new X-Wing novels):
1) An entire TIE Fighter series, just like the X-Wing series. And even though it's called TIE Fighter you could of course bring in TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, TIE Advanced, TIE Defender, TIE Phantom, etc. After you've done enough of those, you could keep it going with an X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter series (duh).
2) Novelizations of the Dark Empire comics, so we can read about Luke's temporary turn to the dark side in trade paperback. This would be a #1 hit.
3) Capitalize on the Armada brand and do NR and IR series just like X-Wing (and TIE Fighter above) except for the capital ships, maybe similar to the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy and the Thrawn trilogy but even more focused on the "armada stuff." Or at least a trilogy.
4) A trilogy centered around Kyle Katarn and Luke Skywalker set not long after the establishment of the new Jedi Academy.
