Regarded as backwater within the Cluster, Terephon is situated on the inner end of the Hapan Spine making it the interior gateway to the Star Cluster from the rest of the Galaxy At Large. The nearby space is shrouded heavily in the Transitory Mists rendering long range communications and deep space travel problematic.
The global terrain is a network of swampy moorlands and mountainous mesas with regular heavy rains and a short more severe cold season. Unlike most worlds in the Cluster, Terephon itself has little to offer Hapes or the Consortium other than serving as gate-keeper, being a popular hunting retreat for the wealthiest nobles and providing well known Amazon Guards from their native ranks to serve in the Queens Royal Guard. Like all Banner Worlds within the Consortium, it was ruled over by a Ducha- a feudal lord in the Noble Houses.
