Description: Located in the Sluis sector of the Outer Rim Territories, Dagobah was once home to the Jedi Master Yoda during his years of exile and hiding from the long arm of the Galactic Empire. Covered mostly in swampland and dense jungle undergrowth, Dagobah was for many years overlooked by both the Empire and the Rebels as a planet with ill-suited terrain for establishing any kind of long-term military presence. Only in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor did the forces loyal to the mysterious Lord Severus begin quietly installing the foundations and substructures necessary for the construction of what is now an entire city of Imperial compounds sitting just above the marshes and bogs on a series of interconnected platforms. Now following the Battle of Jakku, the planet has become the de facto home world of the Terrors of the Imperium, one of the more menacing and tactically impressive Imperial factions that have emerged since the loss of Emperor Palpatine, the destruction of the second Death Star, and the fracturing of the Imperial navy.

Admiral Krell looked up from the wargame he had been playing out on his desk. The Adamant had come to a halt, and the planet Dagobah was looming larger than ever just outside.

"Ah, here we are then," he said aloud. There would be no time for study in the coming days. There was an Empire to build. Not to mention the search. Eleven months of scanning, digging, and digging some more. With all of the mud and swampwater on this planet, it was incredible that they had come as close as they had--in such a short time--to finding the lightsaber. Not just any lightsaber. It was the weapon of the Dark Jedi, and the entire focus of their efforts here at Dagobah. Sensors had picked up something in the vicinity of the altar a week ago, but locating it precisely without destroying such as a sacred place as Dark Side Cave would be difficult.

If he could find it and present it to Lord Severus upon his return, then...

Wargames have long been an integral part of Imperial preparedness. Training, simulation, and patrols... tactical reviews and memorization. All good and fine. But when it came down to it, there was nothing more valuable than good, old fashioned Imperial Naval exercises.

In today's exercise, there would be two sides. Recent exercises had involved a hypothetical third, but Admiral Krell insisted on keeping things straightforward this time. One side would be called the United Galactic Empire (UGE), in an homage to what once was.

And what could be again, he thought. If only the others could be reasoned with. All in good time.

The other side would represent the New Republic. However, out of respect for the Concordance--at least for the time being--the UGE's opponents would be called the New Alliance of Rebels (NAR). A one letter difference meant a lot. It meant preserving the flimsy peace that existed for a little while longer. And, simultaneously, it also meant not-so-subtly threatening the New Republic with what the Empire, if properly provoked, could really inflict.

"Shall we commence, sir?" Captain Ywiru asked. Anxious to let the games begin, he had already briefed his senior officers and gone over the new war plans he had been devising.

"Proceed, Captain," said Admiral Krell. "Ready positions first. Scenario A. Empire takes the offensive. The planet is aligned with the hostile forces. Double the planetary defenses for the exercise."

"Sir?"

"No sense in going through the motions if it's going to be easy, Captain. Difficult doesn't mean impossible. Now let the games begin."

"True. Though I believe the arrival of Kalia's Staff and that interdictor had something to do with it. No?"

"Precisely. The element of surprise, as I said." Admirall Krell sipped on something strong as Captain Ywiru slid a holoreport across the table.

"We lost the Inferis and the Knight Terror, sir. Some fringe New Republic forces arrived unexpectedly. Captain Mraeka survives and brings with him several Nightsisters and--"

"And a body, I see." Admiral Krell narrowed his eyes as he read over the report. When he was done, he rested it gently back on the table.

"And her staff," added Captain Ywiru. "Ironic, isn't it. Shall we inform Lord Severus?"

"As if he's not already aware? Not necessary." Captain Ywiru studied his face, looking for some clue as to what the Admiral might be thinking.

Suddenly the silence was broken. "Put out a warrant on the holonet for the arrest of Reptanus, galaxy-wide. Then disinvite the New Order from the meeting to discuss the MoU."

"Understood sir."

"Which reminds me. Send a response to Admiral Hale. Accept his invitation to discuss a trade agreement at Kwenn Station, and remind him to accept our own invitation to discuss terms of an MoU."

"Yes, sir."

"And one more thing, captain. See to it that Kalia's VSD gets a new name. Something... a little more fitting."
