HAPES (HAPAN STAR CLUSTER)
« on: November 26, 2018, 03:03:36 PM »

Coruscant may be the Jewel of the Core, but the Core is not the Hapan Star Cluster and Corusca Gems are not Gallinorean Rainbow Gems.  The divergence of the standards of beauty and wealth continue in all categories of life between the near-human Hapans and the rest of the galaxy.  Isolated for millennia by both choice and the treacherous astrological formation of the Transitory Mists, the Hapes Consortium rose to dominate their sheltered region of space which by nature itself was blessed with seeming untold material and resource riches.

The Hapan people themselves are descendants of the Lorell Raiders, an early galactic transient human group well known for abducting the most beautiful women from their targetted ships and worlds.  While they were mostly extinguished by the Jedi Order long ago, the survivors on Hapes grew in to a matriarchal-monarchical society.  Growing in strength over thousands of years, the Hapes Consortium now extends authority over 63 inhabited worlds within the Cluster.  The Queen Mother with the help of the Royal Court, an assembly of representatives from each banner world, reigns from the center of the Cluster to it's outer most reaches.  While the Hapans are unanimously united against all external people and threats, there is constant scheming and power plays between rival families and even members of the same within the Royal Halls.  While her word is Absolute, not even the Queen Mother Herself is immune from the espionage.

The planet Hapes is a nearly undisturbed temperate landscape of serene forests, mountains and seas.  The world experiences virtually no daily or seasonal change in a steady bathing sunlight nor any major adverse weather patterns.  A handful of neatly organized and glimmering cities rose up from the terrain, often laid out in complementing structure to their natural surroundings and containing the few hundred thousand inhabitants of the Royal Hapan seat of power.
