Thank you guys so much for the gracious welcome back! I can see you're all dieing to welcome me back into the fold.  No but seriously, I thought the leaders of an ancient battle sim such as this would be clamoring for more members?  Perhaps not... I'll assume Dementat missed my last posts as he would have jumped all over it... but christ, the rest of you show some fucking initiative.

This is close to a "canon Home One" for spec interpretation.

Production Time: 23 Days
Length: 1300 meters
Hyperdrive: x1
Shields: 3000
Armor: 1300
Hull: 1300
Systems: 750
Speed: Slow (1)
Maneuver: (2)
Weapons:
35 Turbolaser Batteries (420)
35 Ion Batteries (175)
10 Tractor Beam Projectors (1000m)
Onboard Units:
10 Starfighter Squadrons
36 Auxiliary Craft
800 Infantry Squads
60 GAVs
Notes: Previously functioned as the mobile headquarters for all Rebel Alliance activities. Now being the standard bearer and ship-of-the-line for the New Republic, the MC90 Cruiser is capable of giving fleet commanders the power they need to command systems and ensure peace and prosperity for democracy. Includes a HOLONET transceiver. Can only be manufactured one-at-a-time at MON CALAMARI SHIPYARDS. New Republic or Rebel Alliance players can acquire this vessel at the Battle of Endor if they so choose. If taken at the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance will get an MC80 for their Endor PDF instead.

I see where your off now hale. "Home One" was not an MC-90. It was a modified MC-80 that Ackbar used as his flagship. The 90 technically didnt exist yet. The Calamarians didnt develop it until around 9ABY with the Vong invasion. However, the stats I have, which would be way more in line for this game and an ISD where it should be.

30 Heavy Ion Cannons (120)
6 Proton Torpedo Launchers (18)
8 Tractor Beam Projectors (800m)
Onboard Units:
9 Starfighter Squadrons
39 Auxiliary Craft
1200 Infantry Squads
60 GAVs (My stats have over 200, but we are talking 140 speeder bikes, where as this could be tanks, so I think this should be left alone)

this is an MC90 except for the length, i always see it listed as 1255, but i get impression that Mon Cal cruisers are never identical builds from ship to ship, even within the same class, it's varied.  But aanyways, yes the other spec is just a modded out MC80 Home One.  Call it whatever, I'll take Home One for shits n giggles =)  23 CP still steep as hell but I'll let the cards tell the tale and see if it gets me anywheres!  ;D

There's MC80 and Mc80a which I'm fairly sure not meant to be same ship.  There's Mc80B, the Mon Remonda was the first, which Han took after an Imp Warlod (Zsinj? i forget who).  Then Mc90 was first purpose built warship around time of Dark Empire comics. Think 9 ABY like ram said, they were in orbit around Mon Cal when the World Devestators attacked as part of the resurrected Palpatines bid.  And of course the Home One Mc80 variant which was a unique flagship at time of Endor.

Home One, through film analysis has been calculated to be in the realm of 3200~3700 meters. Sourcebooks typically list it between 1300~1500 meters. The problem, as Jay as pointed out, is that pointing to any source is a matter of interpretation, and that really the specs we use in this game exist for gaming.

Clearly, we need the MC-90 to be an ISD equivalent. (Sorry, ISD-II is still gonna be the #1 gun). So let's compare stats:

ISD
Shields+Armor = 3200 / Damage Ouput = 1140
Units: 6 SF Squads, 36 AUX, 20 Support Units, 1000 Infantry, 60 GAVs

What the MC-90 needs to be for balancing:
Length: 1400 / Shields: 2800 + Armor: 1400 = 3200 [check]
Damage: 75 TBs + 30 IBs = 1050 [close enough]
Units: 8 SF Squads, 24 AUX, 12 Recon Y-Wings, 12 Medium Transports, 1200 Infantry, 60 GAVs [check] but for cost balancing and to lower the Command Points, let's realistically remove the ground units, because Mon Cals weren't assault ships anyhow.

Okay, so let's draw up the new specs...

MC90 Mon Calamari Battle Cruiser (MC90)
Cost: 2000 KCs
Production Time: 20 Days
Length: 1400 meters
Hyperdrive: x1
Shields: 2800
Armor: 1400
Hull: 1400
Systems: 700
Speed: Slow (1)
Maneuver: (2)
Weapons:
75 Turbolaser Batteries (900)
30 Ion Batteries (150)
10 Tractor Beam Projectors (1000m)
Onboard Units:
8 Starfighter Squadrons
24 Auxiliary Craft
12 Recon Y-Wings
100 Infantry Squads
Notes: Previously functioned as the mobile headquarters for all Rebel Alliance activities. Now being the standard bearer and ship-of-the-line for the New Republic, the MC90 Cruiser is capable of giving fleet commanders the power they need to command systems and ensure peace and prosperity for democracy. This MC-90 gives you the same firepower as a Star Destroyer IN SPACE. Taking out the ground units was the only way to lower the inflated cost and CP value, so that's what had to get done. This is a really good ship, and at 20 CPs you have room for 1 more ship (or two) easily.

This MC-90 will be the *official tweak*.

Now.. any other last minute requests??? ;D

Only wait... I messed up the pricing. It's gonna cost 2700 KCs. Still 20 CPs though. =)

Looks great. Troop movement is going to be the Republics weak point, our fighters our strong point. Empire is the other way around, and with a bit more guns in space... I like this! Should be interesting.
