Mock | The Battle of Mocha II

• The following thread is a mock battle for a non-partisan system (Mocha II) that will be attacked by anyone who shows up.
• Participants will have 1800 GC to spend.
• The player who posts first may assume they are the Home Team, and can post units in the H-grids. Everyone else must exit hyperspace normally in the X-grid.

is that what the battle grid is supposed to look like or did things go wonky when the post translated it? Its difficult to understand.

Quick question about the ruleset. Regarding Support units and reloading. What is classified as a squadron or group? Like for instance, say i had 30 xwings out, is that all considered 1 group thus taking 18 damage (literally 1 quad laser lol) to destroy all 30? Can i designate each fighter as its own group? How big or small can a group be?

Not trying to argue the rule set. Just trying to determine the value of a starfighter here to make a fleet.

That is indeed the battle grid. It's hex-based, no rings or squares. Headings are required.

So in the specs, we are treating "1 Starfighter" as "1 Starfighter Squadron." Instead of micromanaging 72 individual TIE Fighters, you just have to manage 6 TIE Fighters, which symbolizes 6 squadrons of TIE Fighters. No need to break down the units any further.

Here is an example Imperial build:

Ok maybe its my phone then. Your hexes dont match up and there are just lines and letters all over the place lol. I assume its the one from the rulebook? If so then np. 

That also answers my next question of do sf/aux have to be counted in gc total. So no taking 12 Nebs, lmao. 

And as for the legends and champions, are we utilizing those or just straight ships?

Okay, since we're making this 2v2, team/faction doesn't matter.

I will assume "home team."

Starting location for my units are:
1 VSD @ H-1 (heading G-1)
2 VSDs @ H-2 (heading G-2 and G-3)
1 VSD @ H-3 (heading G-4)


Visiting team player can exit hyperspace next, in the X-grid.

Then whoever wants to join me can post their units, wherever in the H-grids.

The last visitor exit hyperspace, in the X-grid and move out if they so choose. Home team will then assume the game is afoot, and assume the following posting order:

1 - Home (me)
2 - Visitor
3 - Home
4 - Visitor


Does that work for everyone?

Im cool with that. However i am more than a little rusty and this is a rules format ive never used before so Hop if you wanna take honors and exit first so i have a template to make my post with it would be greatly appreciated.
