  The Hapes Consortium was a constitutional monarchy with complete domain over an isolated region of space in the Inner Rim known as the Hapan Star Cluster.  Completely surrounded by the Transitory Mists- a treacherous and nearly unnavigable body of stellar dust and cosmic anomalies, the Cluster and Consortium had been completely removed from Galactic Affairs for the last 3000 years, since the Jedi had slayed the Lorell Raiders who'd colonized the area.

  Since then the social fabric and structures grew rooted in matriarchy.  The Queen Mother and Royal Family ruled over the long term and every day affairs of all Royal Subjects across 63 known inhabited star systems within the Cluster.  While unanimously united against all external threats, amongst themselves the Hapans held intense and often fatal rivalries.  While the Queen Mother held absolute power across the Cluster and the various Ducha's who ruled over the numerous worlds under her banner, she was not immune from the constant conspiring herself.

  Still, a long and well established regional power, in the absence of any true central galactic authority, will the Hapans extended their influence beyond their traditional ancestral enclave?

Hapan Houses

  There are dozens of Noble Houses in Hapan Society and all Hapan People belong to or are ruled over by one or another.  The House of the reigning Queen Mother ceases to go by it's ancestral name and instead the various noble individuals that are a part of it adopt the 'Chume' series of labels.





     


  Ta'a Chume is the reigning Queen Mother.  She is believed to be roughly 50 standard years old.  She has held the throne for at least the last twelve years.  She is considered one of the more ruthless recent Queen Mothers.  She has several daughters and sons.

  Na'a Chume'sa is Ta'a Chumes half sister by their mutual father.  Her name is quite derogatory in Hapan matriarchal culture, translated roughly as "Unfit For Motherhood". Her mother was Ta'a Chume's Mother's younger sister.  Their shared father then conceived a female child with two sisters of the same Royal House some years apart.  By way of her older aunts exemption from succession by death declaration of the womans own mother, Oreanna's own mother was then very briefly Ta'a Chume before factions of the current one assassinated her.  Meaning in the most literal interpretations of the succession laws Na'a should be Ta'a, though she would have only been a child a the time of her crowning.  She is currently in exile after a failed coup by several leading Houses sought to replace the current Queen Mother with the much younger Oreanna.  She was partially blinded and scarred in a failed attempt on her life at the same time her mother was killed.

  Rekaba Veridan is a powerful figure in her House, a family heavily invested in the success of the reigning Royal House.  She is Ta'a Chume's chief security officer and oversees the entire Fountain Palace grounds with her authority extending wherever the Queen Mother goes or sends her.  She is an imposing figure at over two meters tall.

  Pensinar Veridan is a respected Battle Dragon squadron commander and like her older sister Rekaba an important member of House Veridan helping anchor the reign of the current Queen.  Her squadron played a pivotal role in the destruction of the Usurpers Fleet.





   


  Sumaya is Ducha of House Dali and Gallinore, making her possibly the second most powerful woman in the Hapan Star Cluster besides Ta'a Chume.  The vast wealth of Gallinore, generated primarily by it's native priceless Rainbow Gems, has helped ensure the enduring legacy and preeminence for thousands of years.

  Gian Dali is Admiral of the Dali Fleet, the largest single standing assembly of Hapan warships.  She is older than the Ducha, but a member of House Dali by relation of the father.  While House Dali supports the sitting Queen, the Dali Fleet did not take part in engagements against the Usurpers.

  Jamoor Dali is Sumayas younger sister.  She is the representative of Gallinore within the Royal Court on Hapes.  She is incredibly vain and lusts for power.  Behind closed doors she urges House Veridan to act against her older sister, using the Dali Fleets lack of participation in actively defending the Queens Title during the Uprising as a primary argument.




     


  Zozan is the Ducha of House Orteega and Terephon.  Her family has ruled over the Consortiums outer most gate world for centuries.  She is approaching the later stages of her fertile peak and has come under intense pressure from within and outside her house to take a Concubine and produce an heir.

  Noreesh is Zozans slightly younger sister and representative for Terephon in the Royal Court.  She has numerous children and aspires to replace her sister as Ducha one day, making no secret of her intentions.

  Jaiyana is commander of House Orteega's flagship Battle Dragon and a close confidante of the Ducha.  She was an orphan rescued from being trafficked by would be raiders as a child on the edge of Hapan Space and brought up in the hallways of House Orteega.  House Orteega publicly backed the Queen in the Uprising, but their Battle Dragons arrived at Relephon after the battle had already been determined.

  Sondot Ohwilla is one of Terephons famed Amazon Warriors.  She is part of a more tribal branch of her people who tend to live simpler lives spread out across the planets natural landscape.  Much to her tribes honor, she was selected as the sworn life long personal protector of Ducha Zozan Orteega when the matriarch was an infant.




   


Konstancja Letylana is the young Ducha of her House.  The position was thrust upon her in the last year with the execution of her mother Katarzyna for supporting the Uprising against Ta'a Chume.  House Letylana was cast from it's ancestral homeworld Loradram, one of the famed Moons of Relephon, and by royal decree transplanted to the harsh desert world Reboam in the fringe Hapan Rim Worlds.  A short time ago, she was considered one of the most sought after and eligible young noble-women in the Hapan Core Worlds with dozens of Houses throwing their prime noble males at her.  Today she couldn't purchase a husband from a Lesser House with a basket full of Rainbow Gems.

Anastazja is Konstancja's younger sister.  Always a rebellious one, the loss of her mother only further entrenched her self-chosen outcast persona.  Her right knee was crushed in their mutual younger youth when during a Royal Hunt on Terephon she pushed her elder sister out of the way of a charging large game stud.

Adelajda was one Katarzyna Letylana's younger sisters making her Konstancja and Anastazja's Aunt.  She was Loradram's representative in the Royal Court, but now with the relocation of House Letylana to Reboam, represents that planet in the Royal Court.  Adelajda was spared the late Ducha Katarzyna and her other sisters fate by matter of customary immunity privileges for Royal Court representatives- even when Houses are in open conflict with one another, their political representatives on Hapes are extended that protection at all times.
