"Captain Hale, as you have seen in our security footage here is where Darth Vader fought and defeated Luke Skywalker." Lobot pointed out to the chasm walkway. Hale nodded and proceeded out to the ledge at the exact point where Vader had won. Hale then looked at his datapad to review the footage. The video was distorted and was shot from a camera far away, but the slightest flicker on the screen piqued Hale's curiosity. There was a moment where it seemed Vader had cut off the hand of Skywalker.
"Lobot, exactly what is at the bottom of this chasm?" asked Hale.
"The chasm narrows and narrows, as there are multiple chutes to redirect large pieces of trash to outside the facilities. At the uttermost bottom is an anti-gravity field that catches everything else. We send a team down there annually to clean anything up."
"Do you have any cameras down there?"
"One," replied Lobot.
"Can you patch it to my datapad?"
"Right away." Lobots eyes rolled upward for a moment. Being a cyborg with a wireless uplink to the entire City had its advantages.
Within seconds Hale saw what he was hoping to see...
"My God, it's still there..."
"What exactly?" asked Lobot.
"The hand and lightsaber of Skywalker..."
