Finally making use of your thread here, Syren.

To Erasmar of yore: Enough already. No more attempts to write a goddamn novel on this board. You will only feel crushing obligation, lose interest, and kill it. Instead, write the episodic, space-opera TV show you wish George would just get on with and make already.

So I shall. Each episode will be only a handful of posts, about 4-6 I imagine, and I'll try to have a grand dramatic arc that runs them all together, rushing to a cliff hanger conclusion for the season finale. And since it's a TV show, our first episode is the pilot and, fittingly, titled "Pilot."

The characters... (thus far)

Maas Farrier: experienced starfighter pilot and captain in the Rebel Alliance, de facto leader of a strike team stranded on an trade outpost in the Javin system

Elia Neutris: hot-shot starfighter jockey without rank (being a fresh Rebel recruit) and reporting to Cpt. Farrier, and as such also stranded on the very same trade outpost

Imperial Agent: a member of the Imperial Security Bureau distinguished by his black teeth (yet impeccable hygiene, truthfully) as well as, currently, an eye turned red seemingly by a burst blood vessel



As the first season progresses, there will of course be additions and, also of course, subtractions from this list. Perhaps some cameos by certain well-known figures? Uncertain; this is a low-budget SyFy gig after all. Maybe Vader. Maybe Solo. Maybe Edward James Olmos. But I promise there will not be stilted dialogue or awkward pubescent love scenes or gratuitous use of green screen. This is old school Star Wars. There will be X-Wings. There will be smugglers. There will be Star Destroyers.

Move in on the small sleeping cabin of a ship with Federation markings on the wall and to an unmade bed that a crumpled picture of Kimber pokes out from beneath the pillow. Side-shot of a sterile lab, sliding to a stop in front of a vial bearing the ChemiX logo on which the name Valerie is written. Cut to black)

(Flashes of Rutherford and Celeste, framed by the Gellar Corporate Tower on Mondder. Flashes of Vex, blaster in one hand, Kylie's hand in the other, fleeing into the night as Tie-Fighters scream overhead. Beyond them, Star Destroyers move in ominous formation with Emperor Schrag's face imposed over the blackness of space. Flashes of Circe standing before the Senate, Janessa naked and tangled in sheets, Corrin and Nevylinn meditating beneath the skylines of Chandaar. Flashes of Corellia, Artemis addressing Coronet with Della by his side. Flashes of Garron storming through the foyer of the Gellar Estate. Flashes of the Wheel, Amir gazing curiously at someone in an Imperial uniform. Flashes of Valor Prep; youth united - Alka, Preston, Roman, Muriel, Tobias, Trichelle and Kier - strutting slowly across an open field. Flashes of the Direx Board; D'Ken calling to order its raging members who scream and point fingers as a furious and mortified Iver looks on. Flashes of the Voss-Ra elders, kneeling before an alter, hands raised up to expose the mutilated flesh as they call upon their Abominations. Flashes of Mara staring into a mirror, analyzing the reflection, rationalizing the data, alive but haunted by those from which she was made. Flashes of those with Mara's face, with Valerie's face, moving in stoic silence through the caves. Flashes of Dane, Riley and Gemma standing before three symbols carved into stone. Flashes of a woman with dark hair and a red streak smiling as she places both hands over Dahlia's eyes)

Mara Tacofer/Mara Anna Gellar

Advance HRD created by PHAGE using Valerie Gellar's genetic material and Trade Federation technology. Originally designated Infiltrator-1, Mara was programmed as an assassin but broke free of that programming as she became more self-aware. She destroyed PHAGE after he murdered Valerie on Corellia and, using the name Mara Anna Gellar, became a member of CorSec under the leadership of Director Frank Farmer. Following Valerie’s demise as Governor, High Commander Saga Judec seized control of the unified military sector she had used in the fight against PHAGE and formed the Corellian Confederation. Under this new dictatorship, Valerie’s staff was either imprisoned or murdered. Director Farmer was dismissed from his position and Mara labeled a traitor to the Confederation. Mara then fled to find answers, seeking out the then-Emperor Dementat’s fiancé and Lady of the Sith, Karen Winton. Together, they fought against Alexander Winton’s maniacal plan for galactic dominance and worked to shatter the lies of the Persephonea Prophecy, which so many had unknowingly perished to fulfill. This fight led them to the Centerpoint Station where Mara barely managed to escape with Kimber Patten’s newborn child, Riley. The Station imploded, killing Alexander Winton, Emperor Dementat, Karen Winton, Melanie Masterton, Kimber Patten and many others and effectively ended the Imperial expansion and Confederation conflict.
Using the name Tacofer, Mara sought employment with the Federation and raised Riley as her “nephew.”

Currently, Mara Tacofer is the Ambassador and chief negotiator to the Trade Federation.
