Ionizing & Capturing Vessels/Structures

Vessels/Platforms and structures can be disabled via ionization. First, the shields of the unit(s) must be destroyed. Second, their power systems points must be reduced to zero. When a unit has zero power systems, it can not take any action at all. Vessels/Platforms and structures must be disbaled for enemy troops to board/enter them.

When in space, troops must be ferried via transports like Lambda Shuttles or via docking (not all ships can dock with other ships, consult their specifications). For ground structures, no transports are required.

Once your troops have entered the vessel/structure they may engage the onboard troops as they would in any other context. All crew will surrender immediately once the defending troops have been defeated.

Once captured, the vessels/platforms may not be used in combat and can only move or enter/exit hyperspace. To gain full control of the vessel the crew must be replaced at a member world by visiting the Space P of the sublight grid and posting the change of crew. Captured structures cannot be used offensively in the same battle. Once the battle ends, assuming you have wone, the structure immediately transfers to your full control.
