Howdy!

Since the forum may be moving soon I figured I would take a stab at making the new site when it is time.

I am going to play around with some things however what I need is INPUT!

Let me know what, in an ideal world, you would like to see from the forum.

   Ehhh, for starters what we have here is a fine transplant! ;)

   Headers, Sub Sections and Threads and a pretty Banner.  the Banner we have now is cool but maybe something more all encompassing?


   Image embedding and Spoiler tagging is a must for me.  Dice rolling of course, will at some point be hopefully utilized! the tool we have now is fine imo.

I agree, I think a simple hosting move initially might be best, simply to preserve the availing accoutrements of the forum.

  Gal, as far as expense goes I know there are enough of us able to contribute to whatever it runs on a yearly rate to lock things up, if not a longer term slated period perhaps.  Eternity for one lump sum an option? ;p  5yrs? 10yrs?  If you are bearing burden of hosting the site I'll happily contribute via PayPal directly to you if that's a medium you use?

Once I figure out hosting options and the like I will setup a paypal donation.

I would love to get this place flourishing again. I remember just a few years ago we had some epic battles with dedicated people. Before the dark times. Before my old username got deleted somehow!

  Whole site membership has been through some huge turmoil and clung to life in both literal personal for.many and literal as a web forum gaming community for all. For awhile we didnt exist!   :o

The forum means a lot to me. It's like therapy, an outlet for my nerd soul. I say we make the move to the new server before revamping anything, ensuring the database is intact so no one loses anything.

So I was thinking a lot.

I think the forum will remain the same essentially in the sense of a SMF forum with our current setup.

The landing page for the site may be a bit splashier with SW News and other things to try to get people to come and visit. Probably hosted via Square Space or something simple and easy.
