   Lando had a son!?

Saw it. PSYCHED.  Already put in for three days of vacation time a year ahead at work.  I figure Midnight Release, Morning Show, Afternoon Show, Evening Show, then a final Morning show the next day and rest of day to rest and reflect :D

I was pretty chill until I saw the X-wings... holy shit. And then the Falcon?! And SPACE FIGHTS OMG.  So hyped.  And then the internet picking it apart frame by frame and pointing out all the little details gets me even more pumped.

My mind went in a million different places after I watched it. Stormtrooper's are no longer clones? Tatooine redux? Some super sexy Sith action? *Shivers

Can't wait.

Clone program ended before A New Hope. A lot of people trashing the new lightsaber hilt, but I don't see a problem with it.

People trashed a lot of shit. People need to calm down. It looks tight. And that saber is badass.

I need to change my pants.

Consensus!

I melted in the end.  I was hooked from that half buried behemoth in the sand dunes tho!

  It was perfect.

Favorite frames:

It definitely looks like the Falcon is flying into the belly of an SSD. Note: multiple engine banks and prolonged aft tail section.

The new Star Destroyer definitely looks like a "yeah, you're not going to fly something into the this bridge and destroy it" design.

The New Empire looks very sleek. I dig. I'm guessing they're going with the idea that the Battle of Endor was a massive victory but that the vast  Imperial war machine beyond Coruscant is still very much alive. That Sith Lord looked kinda like Darth Revan.

Here's the official word:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_expanded_universe

Basically, all previously published Expanded Universe is now "Star Wars Legends" and has been de-canonized. Kinda makes this forum officially unofficially unofficial. But hey, whatevs.

WHEN ARE WE SIMMING AGAIN!?!?

That depends. J and I are working on a new sim right now. He's handling all the plot/story/scene, but basically we're going to have a small scale game set in a tucked away corner of the Outer Rim, spanning a few star systems. We're trying to make it into more of an RPG, but we're having difficulty preventing it from becoming a full bore honor sim. Players will not be heads-of-states but rather lowly officers trying to hustle and grind their way to the top, kinda similar to GCW I in most respects.

We'll do a SF vs SF demo here pretty soon, just so everybody sees what it looks like.

In the meantime, Syren and I never mind a guest appearance for those wishing to stretch their storylining muscles
