Diplomacy Mission
Three Imperial ships emerged from hyperspace, two on the edge of the system where they would remain undetected and one further in. Darth Algoz' vision of the future had convinced him to alter course. This would be a peaceful mission after all. Eriadu, home of the late Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, was still sympathetic to the Imperial cause and had not shown any indication of changing loyalties. Now the key would be to bring the world under the New Order. The Dark Lord's success closer to the core would be promoted as proof he was to be the heir to the Empire. A message was sent to the capital on diplomatic channels, requesting a meeting with the highest authorities.

OOC Note: Please bare with me, this has nothing to do with you at the current moment, and I need it to do what I need to do. Proper SLing of what I been doing all game some what unethically.
The message came in across the normal diplomatic channels as the planetary command officer perked interest immediately. People began busily shuffling around the communications bunker and varying personnel ran off to find those in charge of such matters. Unbeknownst to the empire Ramano's den of intelligence ran deep, and fostered its insidious tendrils through nearly every planet in the galaxy. A little blackmail here, a bribe there, a mysterious payout to a family member. Many in the universe were attracted to an easy pay day. Eriadu was no exception, and through the quick chaos of the new Emperors arrival a small chip was activated inside the belt of a lowly radar technician and a snap image of the radar and happenings in the room were transmitted off of numerous satellites and speed off to an unknown location on a back channel hyperspace com relay.
Although the small few bytes of information would not be enough to give any detailed battle information, nor even a position on the imperial ships, what it did send was the all too important message that the eagle had landed, and he was in Eriadu. A worthless, yet at the same time, in the right hands, an utterly invaluable piece of information.
Quickly picking up a datapad and recording the data from the radar the man stood, turning and heading across the room to the CO. His eyes darted quickly back and forth a few times scanning the room, looking for any tell tale signs that he had been made. With nothing evident he arrived at the commander.
"Sir, radar reports of the Emperors ship. Hyperspace signatures indicate possibly 2 more ships outside of scanner range. Unknown classifications or compliments."
"Good work corporal, as you were."
"Aye aye sir."
With a quick salute the man proceeded back to his station, continuing his job as he had done every other day of his military service, a few quick day dreams of the vacation he and his family would be taking at his next leave.

The twin Escort Carriers of the 1st Imperial Expeditionary Force exited hyperspace just outside the Eriadu system. Their presence here was more of a formality and a sign of good faith between the Imperial Remnant and Galactic Empire. With other conflicts erupting across the galaxy, the Harpoon and Trident would likely be dispatched elsewhere to the galaxy soon, although for now they were here to stay. Within moments, both starfighter wings launched for patrol duty and shields and weapons were brought online.

Diplomacy Mission
Grand Moff Ardus Kaine sat at a large table in the main conference room of the Tarkin Memorial Conference Center when the Dark Lord entered. Darth Algoz had been invited to Eriadu City shortly after his arrival in the system. Lider motioned for his escort to remain at the entrance and stepped forward to take a seat across from the acting authority of the sector. Ardus poured a glass of Corellian Brandy from a large bottle fashioned in the form of the late Emperor's image. He leaned forward, placing the glass in front of the Sith. "Darth Algoz, former hand of the Emperor himself, to what do I owe the privilege?" He took a sip of his own glass and leaned back comfortably in his chair.
Darth Algoz removed his hood, revealing his shaved head and deep set eyes. He collected the glass and drank from it. "Moff Kaine, it has been some time since last our paths crossed. Palpatine was always very fond of you, and your loyalty to the New Order."
"He is truly missed."
Lider smiled at the comment, for he sensed something sinister. No matter. "The reason I am here," he drank again from the brandy before placing the glass back on the table, "is to save the Empire... from itself. The struggle for power and the infighting has caused us to... lose our way. We are disorganized, in some cases at war, and the Rebels continue to pluck away at us while we are distracted. As you may have heard, I have returned many worlds to the fold of the Empire recently. Brentaal, Ord Mantell, Bandomeer... important systems that the Director could not herself get into lockstep."
"And you wish to bring Eriadu, understandably, back into the fold as well." Ardus raised his steepled fingers to his chin. "There are those who thought the core had forgotten about us. You know, I am no friend to the Director, nor to the Grand Vizier."
"And why do you think that is?"
"I don't know, jealousy I suppose. I've had the Emperors ear since he was a Senator from Naboo. They see me as a threat, maybe?"
"Possibly." Lider pushed himself away from the table and moved to one of the many windows showing into the garden below. "I hear you have already arranged for meetings with some important individuals, yes?"
"I have. An effort to continue serving the Empire even in chaos. I have been talking to a few influential industrial leaders to ensure that we do not suffer economically from this collapse."
"I wish to meet with some of them. Have it arranged."

Diplomacy Mission
Darth Algoz and Grand Moff Kaine sat in a large meeting room aboard the orbital space station. Viewports surrounded the room, giving a 360? view of space and the planet below. Also at the table sat Elta Besk, head of Dynamic Automata, a droid design and manufacturing company from the planet Cantras Gola. To her right sat Gregor Raquoran, Commerce Master Commissioner of the Velcar Free Commerce Zone. Next to him sat Governor Ib Dekeet of the outer rim. To the left of Elta Besk sat Representative Wyrn Otro of Galentro Heavy Works, parent conglomerate of the Jaemus Shipyards and Galentro Armaments. This collection of individuals, and others, had for months been holding discussions about the future of Oversector Outer. Leaders in these sectors furthest from the core had been quick to act, unlike many others, forming up alliances loyal and waiting for the Empire to collect itself. Many felt, if the centralized Imperial government did not centralize, that they themselves would form the core of the Order. Now, standing before them, Darth Algoz was there to assure them this was no longer needed. Already the Empire was collecting itself around him.
"Thank you for responding to my request in a timely manner. Most of you do not know me, or know me only as a Hand of the departed Emperor. But you have no doubt heard the whispers. The Empire swells with my taking the roll as leader. Already many major systems have realigned with the Empire at my hand. Now I return to the Oversector Outer with arms extended, ready to welcome you back into the embrace of a single, united Empire."
The audience clapped politely and nodded in approval. The Dark Lord returned to his seat and outstretched an open hand to invite responses from the group. All looked to Grand Moff Kaine, a show of respect by allowing him to be first. "Darth Algoz and I have been in talks for the last several days. My reports very much reflect his claims, and many systems are falling into line. The latest Rebel strike, that of Thyferra, will no doubt send many more to his feet."
"Dynamic Automata continues to support the Empire," Elta Besk said as she placed her elbows on the table. "Splinter factions, or united, we will support the Imperial Charter. This is pleasant news, to see a leader who can bring the Empire back in line. But what of the Director and Vizier? Are you a third party, wresting with the others for control, or do you do this with allegiance to either of them?"
"They are apprised of my maneuvers. I have expressed my desire to see the Empire reunited under one leader and have pledged allegiance to both, and neither of them. I would see the Empire reestablished first. Who leads it, matters not until then."
"Although we have remained afloat, a unified Empire is a desire of the FCZ." Gregor Raquoran scratched his chin. "We wish only for the New Order to be reestablished, and favor your activity."
A ripple in the Force emanated from the Grand Moff. Darth Algoz glanced in his direction, then back across the table to Representative Otro. He, also, voiced his approval and desire to begin trade with the Dark Lord's growing alliance. Again Grand Moff adjusted in his seat nervously.
When the meeting had concluded, the Dark Lord and Grand Moff were left alone in the meeting room. Kaine stood at the viewport, looking down at the planet of Eriadu. Darth Algoz stepped beside him. "It seems everyone agrees. It is time for Eriadu to rejoin the official Imperial government."
"Yes, Lord Algoz. It appears so."
The Sith stepped closer, close enough that Kaine could feel his breath on the back of his ear. "Your thoughts betray you, Kaine."
"I don't know what you are talking about."
"Your desire of power. You reek of it, and we can smell our own." Darth Algoz stepped between him and the scene outside. "You were loyal to the Emperor. I ask you to be so loyal to me. After we defeat the Rebels once and for all, feel free to challenge me then. But for now, it is not your time to command." He turned, his cape following, and left the Grand Moff staring out at the planet below.

Things were progressing along well on Eriadu. Today marked the signing of Eriadu as a full member of the Imperial Network, once again. Darth Alogz had been in discussions with the Eriaduin military leadership about what defenses and aid would be dispatched to the planet if and when they agreed to becoming a member of the Imperial Senate. Everything from orbital platforms to star destroyers would be available to the world for defense against the growing rebel threat. The package laid out by the Dark Lord was very generous. Grand Moff Kaine was chomping at the bit at the prospect of once again having a fleet he could control. Oversector Outer would once again prosper.
On the surface, plans were also being drawn for a new depot and potentially a new palace. New modernization grants were being promised by the Senate, not that Darth Algoz needed their approval to appropriate the money. The economy of Eriadu and the rest of Oversector Outer would be stimulated by construction of new facilities, which in turn would stimulate the economy through production of weapons for war.
On another front, word had reached the Dark Lord that an ambitious young woman recently elevated to the position of Governor was riding his wake. Shan Oradin had defied his orders and left Bandomeer, somehow managed to be elected Governor of her home system, and was at this very moment negotiating with the Rendili government on behalf of the Empire. Her sudden rise had him concerned. He would need to be cautious with that one.

The two massive forms of a pair of Victory-class Mk-II Star Destroyers and a small patrol craft emerged from hyperspace and moved towards orbit, escorted by the Dreshdae. With the signing of Eriadu officially into the Imperial Network, new defenses were being moved to replace the old ones. Already scrapping operations were underway to make room for the new additions to the defenses. Starfighters launched and escorted the ships during the procession. On the surface, the construction of a Fleet Depot was also underway. Soon, Eriadu would become a full Senate member to the renewed Galactic Empire.

He pulled the comm from his pocket and activated it. The small holo-image of the Captain appeared, his hands braced behind his back and his feet shoulder width apart. I'm sorry to disturb you, my Lord, but this is urgent. A Rebel cruiser just arrived out of hyperspace practically on top of us. It's markings resemble that of one of the ships present at the taking of Thyferra."
Darth Algoz looked up from the comm to Kaine, who appeared slightly surprised. "Thank you, Captain. This provides an excellent opportunity to display the power we have given Eriadu in good faith, and the opportunity to also get a little revenge for our brothers from the Imperial Remnant."
"Yes, my Lord. We shall engage immediately."
"And what of the surface, Lord Algoz? We have only the basics to defend against a planetary assault. How will we defend ourselves?"
His eyebrows furrowed. "Captain, deploy a fitting garrison sufficient to both defend the planet and the fleet from boarders. Send message to our allies and inform them of possible invasion here." He closed the comm. "Moff Kaine, you don't need the best defenses on the surface. You have me."

The holovid, which played across every open com channel on the planet displayed the Admiral, in all his arrogant glory, pacing slowly across the bridge of his ship, his every breath goading the Emperor into a direct confrontation.

Next post, please be advised of the speed limitations of your ships. I know how it gets sometimes -- we like to write our Damage Summary first and then our SL, and then not pay any attention to movement because we get all excited about posting and ripping the other guy a new asshole -- but we can't do that. The movement-aspect of GCW is HUGE and is one I have very little tolerance for.

Jason eyed the battle carefully out of the view port. Although the radars and computers offered a far more detailed look, nothing could match seeing it with ones own eyes. Small flashes erupted all around as the various craft were felled by their engagements. His eyes darted back and forth quickly, his mind calculating some equation no computer in the galaxy could hope to match. Suddenly he turned from the nose angrily yelling at his bridge crew.
"Where is the shuttle group from the Remonda?"
"Scanning now sir."
"What do you mean scanning?!"
"Sir, they report launching too early, the shuttles were unable to meet up with the rest of the attack group."
He slammed his fist down on a near by console cursing under his breath.
"Damned fool republic bastards! I told him I needed a trained crew with that ship! What is this rabble!?!"
He turned looking back out of the view port, his eyes searching desperately, his brain recalculating.
"Report the enemy fleet is decimating our fighter forces and pulling back toooo..... sector B-3 sir."
"Admiral, perhaps we should consider a withdrawl. We find ourselves outnumbered, outgunned, and fighting from an inferior position."
"Admiral Halsey, while I value you as both an executive officer and a friend, if you speak again on this issue you will find yourself floating home. My fleet has never lost a battle and it is not about to start with this petty excuse for an emperor."

Perhaps that ship can yet be useful even if too dumbfounded to fight."

"The Helix and Crab are with us," the tactical officer reported.
"We've successfully linked up with Destiny Acension. Downloading system schematics now," another officer called out. "Ready."
Captain Dorn stood poised behind his officers, turning his attention on the tactical display that lit up with green and red.
"Open a channel with the Acension," Dorn ordered.
"Channel ready, Captain."

So yeah, if the planet has more then are allowed by PDF, then you dont have to worry about the per grid limit.

Jason looked over and nodded to his XO as the bombardment of the surface ended. Almost as suddenly the many craft which had been flying around in the atmosphere finally found their opening. They streaked towards the ground and small dots of flame erupted past them as L.O.S.T. battalion was launched from the belly of the Destiny, hundreds of flaming points hurtling toward the ground like a meteor shower. The brown glow of Eriadu filled the viewports on the Mon Calamari star cruiser's bridge. Invisible at this distance, rebel starfighters were bombarding Imperial strongholds, making way for armor and troops to hit the surface. Thinking of all those lives...
Brandt cringed. Eriadu had been fanatically loyal to the Emperor's New Order. It was on the verge of reaffirming its allegiance to this new Sith Lord and his Emperor. While the people of Eriadu may choose dictator, the New Republic could simply not stand idle while a significant capacity was added to the Empire's war machine. Eriadu may choose to join the Empire, but it would do so without any of its capacity to make war.
"Our units have reached the target zone, Captain."
Brandt turned towards the tactical officer... and bit his lip. He was not the Captain of this ship today.
Captain Dorn grinned at Brandt, understanding the instinct no doubt, then turned his attention to his Lieutenant.
"Continue with strafing runs. Lets rattle their heads a little longer before we put our boys down."
"Yes, sir."
Our boys... Brandt turned back towards the viewports. So many lives would be lost today. But perhaps he could save some of their own. There was no point of him remaining on the bridge, in any case. It was not his place at the moment.
"What is it?" Captain Dorn stood at his shoulder, staring down into the viewports.
"I would like to lead the assault," Brandt said.
Dorn grinned. "Lieutenant," he shouted into the pit of officers working beneath them. "Prepare a shuttle."
The shuttle rocked gently from the turbulence as it dropped deeper into the planet's atmosphere. The white clouds that of obfuscated the viewports clearing, the flashes of laser fire and black of smoke, thin wisps from this altitude, drifted below them.
"We'll be touching down on the third continent, with General Kosov's armor brigade," the pilot reported. "Hold tight, might need to make some quick moves here in a minute, sir."
The shuttle rocked and swung wildly as the pilot drifted through flak clouds towards the surface, where Brandt would join his army and lead the soldiers in much the same was as the Jedi had once led the forces of the Old Republic...

This is kind of an IC/OOC post, but by my count you got 7 AT-ST, 3 Army Trooper Squads, and 4 Speeder bikes left total at the planet, all in different grids. You wanna just go ahead and call this so our fleets can go restock? And do keep in mind, as per the ruling that was made on me with the MC-80, you still have stuff at the planet, you cant restock with it there. Refer to Thyferra ruling #3 on the Thyferra thread from about a week ago.
I vow safe passage to any remaining troops and vehicles left should you choose to abandon the planet. This was supposed to go in my last SL but I just been too lazy this weekend to get it done. lol

The cities where the fighting had been most intense were quiet now, blanketed beneath plumes of black smoke. Every so often the quiet was broken by the screech of starfighters shooting by overhead, or debris crumbling on buildings left jagged and broken by the retreating Imperial's destructive charges. Brandt took everything in from one of the many auxiliary bridges on the Brigade as General Gentke's droll voice narrated the streaming images of wreckage.
"Every stronghold we've come across looks like this," the General said. "We've come across very few survivors. It looks like they were under orders to fight to the death."
"Or possessed to do so," Brandt suggested.
"Or possessed," the General agreed tentatively. "In any case, they've left a mess. Most of their garrisons and barracks were in the middle of densely populated industrial areas and there have been no shortage of civilian deaths. Their second largest city is fighting a sprawling fire set off by the sabotage of an entire factory park. Our men have already fallen victim to sabotage and hidden explosives while patrolling and inspecting. Again in densely populated industrial and civilian areas. I don't have the man power to check an entire planet for traps, but the intel boys assure me the Imperials couldn't have planeted to many of these damned traps."
Brandt stared at the new scenes of wreckage - footage from the aftermath of one of the booby traps the General had just described. A chill went down Brandt's spine, a memory of the shadow the Dark Jedi in command of the Imperial forces had cast in his mind.
"Thank you, General," Captain Dorn's voice broke Brandts trance. He cleared his mind, drawing strength from the force.
"Yes, thank you, General. I'll be back down again in a few hours with more men to assist you in the clean up," Brandt said.
The channel went dead and the images faded from the display.
"You need to rest, Brandt. Take a few hours. Get some sleep."
Brandt's Jedi robes were burnt, stained with dirt and blood. The hundreds of deaths that had come at his hands staining deeper than the terse brown fabric. Perhaps Dorn was right.
"Have them come for me in an hour," Brandt said. "A little time to clean up and meditate may not be a bad idea."

Wow, awful active for a character that quit... Like I said in my message Hale, im challenging him being allowed to do anything other then character building here as Eid quit, extremely rudely, and thus should not be allowed to return until we restart, as now he has both the unfair advantage of having a fully built character as if he started from the beginning, was given full retro pay for all months of the game, and had no opportunity to be attacked while he was generating that "back pay", and the fact that he flat out stated he could not participate in a game I was involved with, so I now hold him too it. We tried to make things right with you, but like I have so many times in the past, you choose instead to be a dick, now you should be forced to deal with the consequences of said action.
Eidolon's Fleet at Eriadu, as well as any presence overall in GCW Episode II is completely legal.
1. He does not have a fully developed character as if he started from the beginning. As you can see for yourself, all of us are maxed out pretty much, that is - the players who actually started from the beginning.
2. In fairness, Hoppus was given the exact same deal Eidolon was given regarding his comeback. When or if GallPizi decides to return, he'd be given the same deal too. This isn't to make things fair or unfair, it is to make them reasonable so that each player can relatively be competitive with every other player.
3. Last time I checked, Eidolon and Hoppus rage-quitted over the rules and my attitudes, not yours. I apologized for my mistakes, but the consequences still had to be dealt with, so don't give yourself all the "credit" here. I'd say it's pretty mature of Eidolon to come back knowing full well this sort of thing was going to happen. Let it be known now that this entire incident didn't have to happen. You could have graciously accepted Eidolon's return to GCW and never said a damn thing about it.
4. It's just a game. I thought we settled this via PM back in October, but I guess I was wrong. Fortunately for all of us Ramano, you do not get to decide who stays and who plays. GCW is open to anybody and everybody who's willing to play fairly, maturely, and like a respectful community member while OOC. If it's an apology you want from Eidolon regarding his comeback, then ask him for it via PM.
5. Live and let play. If you have beef with Eidolon, again, for the millionth time - take it up with him via PM. I will not have GCW's boards clouded and fouled up over this sort of thing. If there is anything else to say, keep it to PM, because I will delete it - AND not respond to it - if you post it on these threads.

"Sir, reports look unfavorable for a direct push. Hundreds of contacts detected in Low Orbit. Heavy Defense platforms ring the planet while a fleet concentration hovers in sector A-2!," an aged and weathered officer informed Admiral Szymon, from his post huddled in the sensor station gulf.
Szymon cursed his luck. The New Republic had wasted no time in fortifying Eriadu. With subversive dissent boiling from the culturally Imperial citizenry on the surface the Republic had made a wise choice, but no matter. The mission here served another more valuable purpose than the hope of liberation as announced.

'At Death's Door'
It was bound to happen, it always is. How long can a group of power-hungry beings cooperate before one of them makes a move? It was time....
The council chambers exploded with sound as the Grand Councilor entered. He was assaulted from all sides by demands and questions. The council was furious, and he knew there would be hell to pay before the meeting was over. The grand councilor ignored the shouts, screams, and even the threats and continued forward to his podium. Picking up his gavel, he began to bang it onto the solid base, attempting to silence the group.
*Bang* Few even noticed.
*Bang* Most ignored him, still.
*Bang* Few looked in his direction.
*BANG* The room filled with fire, smoke, and debris.
It would take investigators weeks to figure out exactly what happened, but they did figure it out. A massive security breach lead to a small, but incredibly powerful addition to the podium of the Grand Councilor. A small sensor had been placed in the base plate of the gavel. Three strikes in less than a minute and the bomb would activate, and would wipe out nearly the entire leadership of the Trade Federation.
Fewer than a dozen council members survived the initial blast, and all those that did only survived because they were running late or not attending meetings that day. Several died that same day, of mysterious speeder accidents, oddly timed heart attacks, or "street thugs."
Those that survived that day tried to band together, mostly of fear, but all suspected the others of plotting the disaster as a means of taking over the federation. By the end of the week, there were only a half-dozen of the original council members still living. Asani Kafil was among them, but he too had suffered an attack that was, fortunately for him, botched.
Asani's attacker was captured and interrogated, and his interrogation led to his employer, who had a money trail leading back to one of the other surviving council members. Authorities arrested him on numerous charges and immediately imprisoned him. Two days after his arrest, the council member was found hanging in his prison cell of an apparent suicide.
With the apparently plotter found and dead, the federation tried to reconstitute itself. The remaining 5 council members agreed on Asani as the new Grand Councilor not just because of his qualifications and connections, but because he had survived a direct assassination attempt and they thought it would send a message that the federation was not afraid. Asani graciously accepted the position and immediately put to work consolidating the control of the departed member's powers.
