The fleet, a pair of Destroyers and a Frigate, emerged from hyperspace on the edge of the system and began transmitting friendly Imperial IFF. Byss would act only as a way-point for the upcoming operations. Three probe droids were launched and sent into hyperspace for various destinations as the crews of the squadron prepared for the coming battle.

Scans began to come in from the probe droids. One had been discovered and lost, but the Empire had what it needed to continue. "Sir, scans from Thyferra indicate a Rebel fleet consisting of a Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser and support. It appears to be the same fleet from the Remnant's reports." Darth Algoz looked over the technician's shoulder and the incoming information. "Prepare yourselves, this is going to be an ugly battle. I have foreseen it!" Starfighters and auxiliary were prepared as the fleet oriented in the direction of its target. One-by-one the ships entered hyperspace for their next target.
