We could get our very own Jabber based IM Server similar to GChat etc. If you've used Pidgin, Trillian, Miranda etc and have set up am XMPP IM Account you can set one of these up easily. We can log real time conversations and users may post them to the board to share etc. Chat rooms would also become a feature of this.
