Anyone else read about Disney's upcoming "Halycon" experience? This guy trashes the idea:

But from all the details you get the article, it just made me really want to go...

But $1,500 per person :S

There was a Star Trek themed hotel in Vegas many years ago. It tanked after so long. I think it worked only because it rode the wave of popularity generated by TNG/DS9/VOY, but tanked not before long because the diehard fans stopped coming.

This seems incredible if the end product matches the aspirations.

The cost is justifiable in this day and age for what they're saying it'll be, a living immersed experience of adventure in the galaxy thats captivated our minds so much that we still find ourselves here!  But the financial reality may be as Hale outlined.  I'd go once with the lady but probably never again.  And how many regular people are going to be interested..
