This is a very raw version one, guys and gals. Its ugly and needs work to be pretty, but it should be useful now.
http://swsfonline.com/swsfgrid/
How to Use:
- Make a list of your units, one unit per line, that follows the following format: (Location)>(Heading): (Unit type, name, etc)
Example.
ISDI Death's Head is in C heading D.
C>D: ISD1 Deaths Head
- The idea is that everybody will have, at the footer of their post, a list of their units in this format for other players to copy and paste into the app. So, your post footer may look like..
A>B: ISD1 Deaths Head
A>B: 36 TIE Fighters *on GSP*
A>B: 24 TIE Intereceptors *on GSP*
F>G: VSD2 Vengeance
F>G: 24 TIE Interceptors *on GSP*
K>L: ISD2 Avenger
- Click on the popups to make them go away
- There are a few diff icons i think you can figure them out - one circle = 1 unit, circle with little cirlces= multiple units. Green = friendly, red= enemy.

Looks great!

I just copied/pasted what you put here into in Chrome and it worked, so my guess is that Firefox is the issue. Or maybe some plug-in for it.

Yeah this is a Chrome-only plugin at the moment. I have to do some other shit to make it work on older/other browsers.
USE CHROME

Chromed up and that checks out now ;p
Pretty sweet! Bravo Greg.

Thanks. Its pretty hacked together on the graphics side, so ill take any suggestions about better ways to present the data in a cell, etc. I thought it was easiest to have a set of icons that let you know at a glance 1 or more units of what type are present, then click on the cell to drill down to details.
Hopefully it helps. It should work for ground combat too obviously as the grid is the same.
Also, anything after the semicolon (A>B:) can be whatever you want. (A>B: 36 TIE Fighters) or (A>B: TF Squad Black) for those who name each squad etc.
